Dear Bobcat Families,

As we wrap up the month of September, I want to take a moment to celebrate the many wonderful things happening at Richardsville Elementary! Thank you for your continued partnership, support, and commitment to helping our Bobcats learn, grow, and lead.

Our Bobcats showed up in a BIG way throughout September! We were able to meet our daily attendance goal multiple times this month, which is something to celebrate. While we did not quite reach our monthly attendance goal, our September attendance average was 95.63%. Every day matters, and every student who comes to school ready to learn makes a difference!  A special congratulations goes to Mrs. R. Hudson's homeroom for winning our September Attendance Challenge! Their class will celebrate with a popcorn party! Way to show up, Bobcats!

As we head into the fall season, please continue encouraging healthy habits at home and at school. Remind your children to wash their hands regularly, get plenty of rest, and eat healthy so that we can all do our part to keep our Bobcat family healthy and learning.

Fall Break is just around the corner! I hope each of our families has a safe, fun, and relaxing break filled with opportunities to make special family memories and "sharpen your saws". Whether you spend your time traveling, enjoying the outdoors, catching up on rest, or simply spending time together, I hope you return refreshed and ready for all the exciting things ahead!

We will host our Parent Engagement Day PLC on November 2nd. Teachers will begin setting up conference times with families when we return from Fall Break. We look forward to partnering with you to celebrate your child's successes, discuss their growth, and identify ways we can continue supporting them throughout the school year.

We have a lot happening when we return from Fall Break!

Chuck E. Cheese Spirit Day – October 9 4:00 PM–8:00 PM
Come enjoy some family fun at Chuck E. Cheese and help support Richardsville Elementary PTO! A portion of the proceeds from the day will come back to our school. Be sure to let them know you are with Richardsville Elementary when you visit!

Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Our annual pumpkin decorating contest will be back when we return from Fall Break! Keep an eye out for more information and get those creative ideas ready!

Fall Fest & Trunk or Treat – October 23 at 5:30 PM
We can't wait to celebrate the season with our Bobcat families at Fall Fest and Trunk or Treat! Mark your calendars and plan to join us for an evening of fun.

Book Fair - October 23–31
Our fall book fair will open on the night of the Fall Festival and will stay open through the afternoon of our fall parties.  

Red Ribbon Week – October 26–30
We will celebrate Red Ribbon Week as we encourage our students to make healthy, positive, and responsible choices.

Fall Parties – October 30 at 2:45 PM
Our K–6th grade fall parties will take place on Friday, October 30th, beginning at 2:45 PM. Please remember that all visitors must have a valid government-issued ID when checking in at the front office.

Thank you for all you do to support our students and our school. I am so proud of the way our Bobcats continue to lead, learn, grow, and show up each day. Together, we are creating a school where every student feels welcomed, supported, and encouraged to become the BEST that is within them to be.
