February 1, 2026

Dear Bobcat Families,

First and foremost, I would like to thank you for all of your support!  The end of January was filled with winter weather that prompted us to use multiple NTI days to ensure the safety of our students and staff.  Your dedication to ensuring that your child was online each day for their Google Meets meant that they did not lose valuable instructional time.  They were able to continue learning even though they were not in the building, and I know our strong home to school connection made that possible.  Thank you again for all that you have done.

I am also incredibly proud of our faculty and staff who prepared for the possibility of multiple days of NTI within 48 hours of needing to send materials home.  Their commitment to making sure our students have the best possible experience with NTI is evident.  If there is a faculty or staff member that you would like to shout-out for their hard work, please do so by going to this link:  https://forms.gle/scZQj4QibBHDFpkv9

As we look forward to the month of February, we have several things to note.  We celebrate two huge cornerstones of our building this month with Counselor Appreciation Week and Family Resource Center Coordinator Appreciation Week.  We also have three events to welcome our families into our building - Valentine’s Day parties, Family Engagement PLC Day, and Science Night!  You can find information about these events and much more on our Family Bobcat Bulletin.

Midterm reports will be sent home this month for our intermediate students, so please make sure to review these with your child.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher.  We are partners, and we always appreciate collaboration.

It is also important to note that school will be IN SESSION on Monday, February 16th.  We were originally scheduled to have this day off for Presidents’ Day, but we will now use this as a make-up day for the snow day we had on January 26th.
If you need anything at all, please do not hesitate to contact me at (270) 777-3232 or at lacey.hickey@warren.kyschools.us at any time.  I look forward to seeing you at Richardsville Elementary very soon!

It’s a great day to be a Bobcat!

With warm regards,

Lacey Hickey
